you mean Townsend didnt inspire you with his slightly flabby white british belly and his incredibly off-key (ahem) vocals?? Damn, Pete's vocals made Phil sound like Pavorati!

I wouldnt say they were "horrible," but you sure are right that Rock Stars do not seem to age as well as others in jazz, classical, blues, etc. They just look silly. (like that video which was circulating showing Weir trying to pull off an Eddie Van Halen by sliding on his knees across the stage - lol)

You,ve got to admit though, Phil is looking pretty good (I haven't heard any of the recent music, but I assume going strong) for a week away from 70!

I think the Who could have picked better songs... who (pun intended) wants to hear all that top 40 crap... Guess we got fooled again (yep, that one too)...

They should have played the complete "A Quick One" - or all 8 volumes of Lifehouse

I really cranked it up. It sounded very live and loud, like the Who should.

It was a sloppy performance by Daltry and Townshend, but they are not touring band. What do people expect? Those football stadiums are the most difficult place to grab an audience, especially when your 66 years old and can no longer leap around the stage like a madman, or twirl your mic by the cord(Daltrey's best physical maneuver) because it's fucking cordless.

I was glad I could hear the guitars and that Roger Daltrey put his voice out there to be judged. He owns those songs, regardless of the state of his pipes.

I like that ... this seems a sensible take, we don't really have to be hard asses about it. They're allowed to get old, after all.

hey, it was all in good fun and if they can score the intro for another CSI, so be it. All in all, I thought Shannon Sharpe's acappella Reign O'er Me was more impressive - and definitely more surprising.

And why was Steve Winwood relegated to the parking lot? ...higher love....
